There was a Northrop night fighter plane called the Black Widow. One of them, "Lady In The Dark" is credited with the last two aerial victories of World War II.
This is one of a group of leather flight jackets that I painted in the 1980s. It is one of two that I had kept for myself over the years, but I am at an age now that I can part with it.
I recently had it dry cleaned and had a new zipper and new sleeve cuffs installed.
The image is based on a "Vargas girl" of the 1940s, which I painted onto the jacket myself.
